Networking is an essential part of the Game Developers Session experience, and we want to make it as much accessible and enjoyable as possible. As our conference grows and more people are attending, it becomes harder to meet the right people at the right time and share your ideas with others who are equally interested. To make it more simple for you, we partner up with online service Pitch & Match. Let’s plan your meetings upfront and save more time for the lectures and fun at the expo!
How does it work? It’s simple! You only need to follow five simple steps:
Create your online profile Present your company projects and services to show the world why you are the best!
Organize your meetings Use the online meeting system to plan your meetings and invite possible partners or accept received invitations to meet on-site. Our matchmakers actively search for potential matches and help you by providing suggestions to meet!
Join the Pitch & Match area We set up meeting area with numbered tables, so it is easy to meet. Reserve your slot or simply stop by to meet unexpected new contacts.
The meeting Meet at one of our meeting tables or a place of your choice. Pitch your product and ideas in 30-minute meetings.
Fill in the gaps Last minute meetings can be arranged by the matchmaker on-site or you can visit conference sessions.
To access the Pitch & Match network, simply follow the details sent to your registration e-mail. We automatically create accounts within one working day of your registration. Then simply access the event at the Pitch & Match website.
Remember there are many other ways to connect with others. Whether it’s networking parties, on-place events, taking part in GDS indie expo or just being there and having fun. Be creative, find new ways to show everyone your awesome work and let your business grow. We wish you best luck and meeting many interesting people!

There are only few days before the #gds2016 begins. Two days full of interesting talks, hundreds of game developers, indie game expo, parties and much more. From November 4th to 5th, 2016 in Prague, Czech Republic at beatifull National House of Vinohrady, we will share and celebrate what we all enjoy about game development and games. We hope to see you there too!
What can you look forward to? Among other things, we have a full package of incredible talks. For example, Tyler Sigman from Red Hook Studios will be talking about the designing challenges of their widely successful game Darkest Dungeon, Pawel Miechowski from 11bit studios will look back on the success of This War of Mine and Jaromír Plachý from Amanita Design will introduce their new project Chuchel. You can see the full schedule on our website.
GDS would have never been possible without our amazing partners but not only that - they are bringing a lot of fun to the table as well! Our main sponsor SCS Software will bring VR headsets to try out their new VR projects, Microsoft will bring their special guest Viktor Tsykunov to share more about their awesome technologies for both present and future developers and Bohemia Interactive will also announce their brand new project and allow all of our guests to try it live at the conference venue as well. Isn’t that awesome?
As always, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet others, even more so as we grow in numbers each year. Two parties in the center of the city - warm up party at Infinity Bar and main party at Club Lávka - will provide awesome experience for all of the attendees.
GDS is not only a place for casual friendships, but serious business as well. As GDS attendee, you can utilize the Pitch & Match app to plan your meetings upfront, pitch your projects to business partners and find those, who are equally interested in your work.
We have also upgraded the indie game dev expo venue, so you can explore even more of the awesomeness, that’s been created in last year. For that reason, we have enabled to nearly every guest to present their projects for free, which allowed us to attract more than 30 developers to showcase what they do.
But it does not stop there! We will also announce our very first GDS Indie Prize Award to honor the best games presented at indie game booth. Thanks to our partnership with Casual Connect, the 1st winner also receives a free ticket for Indie Showcase booth at Casual Connect Europe in February 2017.
It is all set and done for now and we can’t wait for it to happen. We hope you will enjoy the Game Developers Session as much as we do and will remember it as the best one that has ever been done. In case you still don't have your ticket yet, grab it while you can, make sure to follow us on Facebook or Twitter and remember to share with others how you feel about the #gds2016!
